Application for Sponsored PA Stipends from JFMS

Justice for My Sister is now accepting applications from BIPOC-led productions in Los Angeles that seek sponsorship from our PA Job Placement initiative. In exchange for your on-set mentorship of our participants, JFMS will provide stipends for up to two PAs for 2 - 4 days of production. Each PA must receive a $30 stipend per day for travel, at the cost of the production. Please answer the prompts below to be considered for this program. Your inquiries will be evaluated based on your project’s alignment with Justice for My Sister’s values of gender inclusion, racial justice, community, and healing through the arts. As of Summer 2024, we now require applicants of the PA Sponsorship award to participate in our Trauma-Informed Storytelling training. The 1-hour session costs $50 per individual, and qualifies you for the sponsorship. Upon completing the training, you will be eligible to submit your application for the PA request. The value of the PA Sponsorship Award varies from $500 - $2000, depending on how many PAs and the number of days that are requested. Enrollment in the training qualifies you for subsequent seasons of the award.

In consideration of Justice for My Sister’s sponsorship of the PA, the production company must agree to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which JFMS will provide. Who is the authorized producer who will sign the MOU?

I will provide a positive learning work environment to the PA, marked by nurturing communication and support, free of harassment or abuse of any kind; and take the necessary steps to ensure the PA is adequately versed in the specific needs for their role. 3. I will post a social media shout out including the PA and tagging @justice4sister 4. I will provide the following deliverables no later than one month after working with the PAs: a) High quality Behind the Scenes (BTS) photos which feature the PAs from Justice for My Sister. Action shots of them interacting with other crew members are preferred. b) A review of the PA that includes: - Short summary of the work they carried out - Their perception of the PAs’ job readiness - Areas of growth - A quote that JFMS can use on our social media
