Donate to our 2024
End-of-Year Campaign!
Justice for My Sister is raising funds to produce short films written by our BIPOC alumni, in collaboration with participants of our Workforce Development programs. Give today to help bring the stories of filmmakers of color to life.
What We Do?
Our work provides training to emerging filmmakers so they can champion the transformation of the industry based on anti-violence practices and the use of the arts as a tool to heal.
Your donation help us provide:
Technical skills:
We provide comprehensive training on storytelling tenets, cinematography, production, and editing skills. Our goal is to provide tangible skills so they can feel confident and succeed in the industry.
Socio Emotional Skills:
Our programs provide leadership development opportunities where students can heal in a safe space. Community building, setting boundaries, critical thinking, working in teams, and developing confidence in their voice.
Job Accessibility:
With the help of our partners and Board Members, we are able to provide a pipeline to connect our graduates with employers and mentors who help to set their careers in motion.
Become a Monthly Donor!
Every bit counts.
Help us populate the TV and Film industry with advocates of gender equality and racial justice. Your monthly donation helps us sustain our programs and achieve our goal of providing opportunities for underrepresented filmmakers.
Partner with us!
$25,000 helps us bring a program to a new school.
When you partner with us you open the door to emerging filmmakers from vulnerable communities in Los Angeles to cultivate the next generation of storytellers and change the face of Hollywood. Your support provides 10-weeks of training and materials to a cohort of 15-20 student filmmakers. Contact us to learn more.
